Quantum Group currently has three main activities:

• A programme of highly popular professional training courses, either at client venues or at our Derby Training Centre.
• A rapidly expanding programme of training courses and services designed to help people start their career as a career, focussing on those new to the labour force or wishing to retrain.
• A fast growing Apprenticeships programme, in which we place suitable young trainees including learners from our qualifications team at Mercia College with employers.

Training Courses for Employment

The ongoing shortage of skills in the care sector alongside the economic downturn and rising unemployment, particularly amongst the young, has stimulated our rapidly expanding activity in training people for entry to employment, 'Response to Redundancy' and similar initiatives. Apprenticeships

As the ecomomic situation in the UK has evolved we have met increasing demand for younger staff amongst our clients as well as greater emphasis from government on addressing underemployment and training amongst younger people. We now broker Apprenticeship placements and our service both helps young people seeking a placement in a variety of sectors as well as helping our employer clients identify suitable candidates to undertake a placement with them.
