I attended both the Health and Safety and Infection Control Awareness course today with Jo [Whitworth] – it was very informative and was thoroughly enjoyed by all. The fact that it was informal made both the carers and I "take in" the information and Jo certainly knew her subjects.

Starting an NVQ with Quantum Group

An induction, lasting about one hour, will follow leading to your Individual Learning Plan, which sets out your route to achieving the NVQ. The induction will identify any further support you will need, such as help with your English language skills. We will also examine funding options including our access to programmes that could save you up to 70% of the NVQ cost.
Your Plan will include monthly visits from your assessor, who will assess your progress with you, often in your workplace. There are no exams, no bulky portfolios and you set the pace; you’ll be assessed using evidence including observations, witness statements, professional discussions, questions and answer sessions and written reflective accounts.
