New Palliative Care Course
Palliative Care is given to patients with a life-threatening condition, such as cancer, when the prospect of significant, sustained recovery is low. Palliative Care aims to both maximize quality of life during this period as well as support patients in coping with their condition, and can be delivered by specialist staff or those providing more general care services. Given people in the UK are living longer yet without a fully corresponding increase in years of full-health, demand for Palliative Care services seems set to increase, unfortunately. In response to this Quantum Training has created a new course, delivered by Roy Riseborough. The course will cover:
- The state-of-the-art in terms of palliative care procedures and medication regimes.
- Assessment of an individual’s specific palliative care needs.
- How support from specialists in palliative care can further improve quality of care.
This one-day course can be delivered, like all Quantum courses, either at the workplace or at our training centre in Derby, from £75 per person.
