...we find the training being given on mandatory subjects (M&H, H&S, Food Hygiene, etc) is effective in that the theory is covered in a readily absorbed format, and practical, giving staff opportunity to actually do the procedures being trained. This makes it easy to carry over into the workplace and improve the quality of care we are offering in our homes, especially by new carers who have had little or no training before.

Early bird discount for Tissue Viability Course bookings
An understanding of how the skin functions and how to care for and maintain it is vital for all carers. We will be running our innovativeTissue Viability Course at our Derby Training Centre on Tuesday 15 June 2010. The course, lasting one full day, is available at a 10% 'Early Bird' discount for bookings made by the 1st June, on the standard cost of £75 per person.
