Mayor of Leicester presents certificates to learners on Quantum Group course
The Mayor of Leicester was present to award certificates to members of the first cohort to complete Quantum Group's 'Building Bridges into Health and Social Care' course, commissioned by Connexions Leicester Shire. This new course, designed to give potential recruits to the care profession an insight into this growing source of employment, also equips the learners with the vital core skills to get their first job. Besides intensive support and considerable one-to-one tuition, the course delegates were helped with their IT skills and helped to develop their CV. Govind Singh, Quantum Group's Business Development Manager, said:
"We are delighted with how well this new course has gone, and the learners have obviouslty learnt a great deal and increased their confidence. There is an acute shortage of skilled care staff in the UK now, alongside a growing number of people, particularly younger people, seeking work. Courses like this seem an obvious means to address these social issues".
