| Learning Outcomes: | Learners will achieve a good understanding of: food purchasing; principal food poisoning bacteria and their management; safe food preparation; protection of prepared food in transit; safe food storage; cooking safely (related to Health and Safety); good cleaning techniques and regimes to support high standards of hygiene. | ||
| Suitable for: | All care staff involved in food handling, especially ancillary and support staff with catering responsibilities, and managerial staff with supervisory responsibility in this area. | ||
